Our Leadership

Amit Sevak

President & Chief Executive Officer

As President and CEO of ETS, Amit Sevak leads the largest private educational assessment organization in the world, with 2500 employees across 200 countries serving over 50 million people each year.

Sevak has been a driving force in education, learning and workforce development around the globe. He has led the University of Europe in Madrid in Spain, INTI International University in Malaysia and Universidad Tecnológica de México (UNITEC) in Mexico.  His transformational style of leadership consistently led to innovation, better learning and improved job prospects for hundreds of thousands of students and workers.

Sevak has long been a coach for edtech CEOs. He has served on numerous nonprofit boards, including Cambiar Education, CitiBridge and Education Design Lab. In 2017, he founded Mindset Global, an education investment firm. His early career included roles as a researcher, professor and advisor.

Wallace Dalrymple

Chief Security Officer

As Chief Security Officer, Wallace Dalrymple is responsible for defining the security framework and ensuring the security strategy and governance across the areas of Information Security, Enterprise Risk Management and Office of Test Integrity.

Dalrymple brings 25+ years’ of executive leadership experience working in complex, regulated organizations at a global scale. He has a proven track record of leading enterprise information security programs, driving innovation and aligning with organizational vision, values and goals.

Before joining ETS, Dalrymple served as Chief Information Security Officer for Emergent, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Mutual Insurance Company. Prior to that he worked in executive security leadership roles for customer insights and digital marketing company Dialog Direct and General Motors.

Sheree Johnson-Gregory

General Counsel

As General Counsel, Sheree Johnson-Gregory oversees the General Counsel's Office attorney staff, corporate contracts, copyright and permissions, trademarks, domains and infringements and the Office of Testing Integrity.

Johnson-Gregory joined ETS in 1985 as Assistant General Counsel and was subsequently promoted to Associate General Counsel and Associate Vice President. She also served as the Director of the Office of Disability Policy and Chair of ETS's Board of Review. Prior to ETS, Johnson-Gregory held positions as Assistant Corporation Counsel and Municipal Prosecutor in the Newark Legal Department and worked for a defense contractor as the Equal Employment Opportunity Officer.

Ida Jackson Woods

Chief Diversity Officer

As AVP and Chief Diversity Officer, Ida Jackson Woods provides leadership for the vision, direction, implementation and evaluation of strategic efforts aimed toward advancing an organizational culture of equity and belonging at ETS. Her role is focused on embedding equity, inclusion and diversity across the enterprise to enhance employees’ sense of community and belonging.

Before joining ETS, Woods was a Director in Human Resources for The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), where she was responsible for organizational learning and professional development, labor and employee relations, performance management and related HR workplace issues. Prior to her role with TCNJ, Woods was a Court Executive EEO/AA Officer with the Judiciary’s Superior Court of New Jersey.

Ida Lawrence

Senior Vice President, Research & Development

As Senior Vice President, Research & Development (R&D), Ida Lawrence oversees functional areas including Assessment and Learning Technologies Research and Development, Research and Measurement Sciences, Institute for Student Achievement (ISA), National Assessments Program Coordination including National Assessment for Educational Progress (NAEP), the Center for Global Assessment and Human Capital, Professional Standards Compliance and Disability Policy, the Center for Strategic Research and Development Alliances, and the R&D Library.

She began her career at ETS in the Statistical Analysis area, where she designed and directed measurement work for the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) and the SAT® tests. Before her appointment as Senior Vice President, she served as Executive Director of the SAT and PSAT/NMSQT programs, Director of Program Research in R&D and Vice President of the Assessment Development division.

Lawrence also serves as the Board Chair for the Institute for Student Achievement Foundation.

Jeffrey Melnick

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Jeff Melnick is the financial leader for the ETS enterprise. He is responsible for maintaining ETS's financial health and for positioning the company to grow and diversify.

Prior to joining ETS in 2022, Melnick served as CFO of EisnerAmper where he grew revenue and profits, and led a large international finance department. He also served as the Divisional CFO for several different business units at Marsh & McLennan, CFO for Solow Realty & Development, and Vice President at General Electric® Real Estate and GE Equity. Melnick began his career at Ernst & Young in audit and tax practices where he led tax engagements. Melnick has experience in partnership accounting, implementing technology and data systems, and has led M&A transactions and integrations.

Scott Nelson

Senior Vice President of Global Strategy & Growth and Chief Marketing Officer

Scott Nelson is Senior Vice President of Global Strategy & Growth and Chief Marketing Officer. He is responsible for the corporate strategy, marketing and growth efforts from new products to corporate development. He also oversees the GRE® Program and higher education division, as well as the Global Language Learning, Teaching and Assessment division which includes the TOEFL® and TOEIC® programs as well as the ETS Preferred Network of distributors.

Nelson joined ETS in 2006 as Associate Vice President of Communications & Public Affairs and advanced through the division to become Senior Vice President of Strategy, Marketing & Growth before being named to his current role. Previously, he held leadership positions in communications, public affairs and marketing at DuPont™.

Steve Santana

Chief Information Officer

Steve Santana is the Chief Information Officer at ETS. In this role, he leverages his extensive IT and product development experience to drive the development of digital products that enhance ETS’s offerings and, ultimately, learners’ experiences. With educational assessments increasingly offered in a digital format to expand access, Santana’s leadership in user experience and cloud native development keeps ETS at the forefront of technological innovation in a transforming education industry.

Prior to joining ETS in 2021, Santana served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Pearson, and held positions at Ciena®, Nortel™ and Apple®.

Rohit Sharma

Senior Vice President of Global Workskills

As Senior Vice President of Global Workskills, Rohit Sharma will help ETS scale offerings for working professionals and oversee all aspects of this newly created business, from sales and marketing to product and operations, with an emphasis on long-term goals, growth, profit and return on investment.

Prior to joining ETS in 2022, Sharma has held senior leadership roles across higher education, training, certification and workforce development sectors, with over two decades of international experience covering more than 25 countries and jurisdictions. Sharma was previously president and managing director of ACAMS (a wholly owned subsidiary of Adtalem Global Education) and CEO of INTI Education Group. He also served as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group.
