Who accepts GRE Subject Test scores?
GRE Subject Test scores are accepted at thousands of graduate schools, as well as departments and divisions within these schools.
Score-related policies

A note about discontinued Subject Test scores
The GRE Biology Test and the GRE Literature in English Test were discontinued in May 2021. The GRE Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology Test was discontinued in December 2016. Scores on these tests will continue to be reportable for 5 years per GRE score reporting policy.
Score review
You may request a score review for the GRE Subject Test you took up to 3 months after your test administration. There is a US$50 fee for this service.
- Request a score review online through your ETS account.
- If you’re paying by paper check or money order, mail a completed Score Review Request form (PDF) with payment to the address indicated on the form. We must receive it within 3 months of your test administration.
- Allow 1 to 3 weeks for the results of the score review to be mailed to you.
During the review process, your GRE Subject Test scores will be placed on hold. You won’t be able to report your score to designated score recipients until the score review process is completed. If the score review results in a higher or lower score, the new score(s) will be reported.
