Overview of Indiana Testing Requirements

Registration for Praxis tests

Educators in Indiana have access to ETS's Praxis tests to help them demonstrate their knowledge of content, pedagogy and instructional skills for their roles in Indiana schools.

How to qualify for licensure

For initial certification in Indiana, all candidates must:

Score reporting

  • If you test in Indiana at a test center or using the Praxis test at home solution, and your Praxis profile address is in Indiana, your score report will be sent automatically to the Indiana Department of Education.
  • If you test outside Indiana or your Praxis profile address is not in Indiana, your scores are NOT automatically sent to the Indiana Department of Education. To have your scores sent to the Indiana Department of Education, you must select the Indiana Department of Education (state code 7238) as a score recipient when you register.
  • For all methods of Praxis testing, to request additional score reports you must select the Indiana Department of Education (state code 7238) with each additional score report request if you want the Indiana Department of Education to receive it.

Bulk test vouchers
